ALCOHOL AND DRUGS POLITICS
Çolakoğlu Makina, continuing its efforts with the vision of becoming a leading brand through education, research, and continuous improvement, is committed to the awareness and belief that alcohol and drug use can harm employees' health and hinder safe work practices.
Individuals who have been treated for alcohol, drug, and antidepressant addiction must disclose this before entering employment. It is strictly prohibited to possess illegal or prescription drugs or similar substances in the factory, office, warehouse, and vehicles without the knowledge of the occupational physician. Employees must provide a health report from a specialist doctor and obtain approval from the occupational physician for the mandatory use of medication.
Striving to best meet customer needs and expectations and aiming to be a reliable organization, Çolakoğlu Makina is aware that entering the workplace and working under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or even concentration-impairing medication, whether for medical purposes or not, is a significant factor endangering occupational safety and adversely affecting work efficiency.
Çolakoğlu Makina has the right to randomly check its employees for alcohol, drug, and antidepressant use during duty. Employees involved in accidents may be required to undergo alcohol, drug, or antidepressant tests. Subcontractors may also be subject to checks for alcohol, drug, or antidepressant use.
Individuals found to have taken drugs or alcohol, applicable to everyone without exception, will not be allowed to enter Çolakoğlu Makina's facilities under its responsibility, such as factories, construction sites, and other premises, and will be immediately removed if found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Individuals who have taken concentration-impairing medication due to health reasons will not be allowed to work until the effects of the medication have worn off.
Losses incurred by Çolakoğlu Makina due to individuals not permitted to work due to drug or alcohol use will be recovered from the individuals concerned. Individuals removed from Çolakoğlu Makina's premises due to drug or alcohol use will never be readmitted. Their employment contracts will be terminated indefinitely and without severance pay. Additionally, they will be held liable for any physical damage they cause.
Çolakoğlu Makina hereby commits to showing necessary determination in monitoring preventive and corrective actions related to all types of alcohol, drug, and antidepressant use, believing in the awareness that such practices can harm employees' health and hinder safe work practices, as well as being non-negotiable for the financial and moral interests of our company, our customers, and other relevant individuals and organizations.
